DUBAI, UAE / ACCESS Newswire / November 27, 2025 / LG Electronics unveiled an exclusive first preview of LG Channels, its free, built-in streaming service, at a special two-day showcase at Global Village on November 15 and 16. The event marked the first public activation of LG Channels ahead of its official UAE launch at the end of November.

Designed as an immersive consumer experience, the showcase allowed visitors to explore LG Channels’ world of free, premium entertainment, offering access to several live and on-demand channels without subscriptions, cables, or sign-ins. LG Channels also highlighted new regional partnerships: WATCH IT onboarded Egyptian VOD content and launched eight FAST channels, offering a rich mix of Egyptian series, timeless classics, kids content, and more, all easily accessible on LG TV. Meanwhile, Smashi TV and Lovin TV provided ongoing free-to-watch digital content, complementing LG Channels’ lineup of traditional TV channels.

A Dedicated LG Channels Booth at Global Village

Located near the main stage area, the LG booth served as an interactive hub where visitors explored the service interface, discovered content categories, and saw how LG Channels transformed everyday TV viewing into a seamless, hassle-free experience.

    The activation featured:

    • Hands-on demos of LG Channels
    • A preview of regional and international content
    • Interactive “Watch, Play, Discover” Mission Cards, which invited visitors to complete fun challenges across three zones, from scanning QR codes and completing a keyword hunt, to exploring live channels and taking a red-carpet photo for social media. Guests who collected all three stickers redeemed a free popcorn reward at the booth.

    Exciting Giveaways & Visitor Rewards

To celebrate the Global Village showcase, LG hosted a series of giveaways that extended the fun beyond the booth:

    1. Global Village Ticket Giveaway – LG awarded 10 free Global Village tickets prior to the showcase through the LG Gulf social media channels.
    2. LG 27″ Smart Monitors – Two lucky visitors won an LG 27-inch Smart Monitor after the event by visiting the LG Channels booth, taking an Instagram Story, tagging @LGGulf, and using #LGChannels.

A First Look at LG’s Free Entertainment Platform

LG Channels, LG’s free, built-in streaming service available on LG Smart TV, offered viewers a wide selection of live TV, on-demand programs, and genre-specific channels, without downloads, additional devices, subscriptions, or sign-ins. With free channels, LG Channels showcased the future of accessible entertainment, giving families in the UAE a convenient, cost-free way to enjoy quality content.

A Celebration of Entertainment at Global Village

Visitors at Global Village were among the first in the region to experience LG Channels ahead of the service’s official UAE rollout.
